Departure from Ohrid with our vehicle and our local tourist guide. Driving to Bitola. Visit of the ancient city Heraclea Linkestis, dating back from the time of ancient Macedonian king, Philip II of Macedon (359-336 BC), the father of Alexander of Macedon (Alexander the Great). Visit the museum of Bitola and the Museum of Kemal Mustafa – Ataturk, father of modern Turkey, who finished the military school in this very building. Stroll to the most famous Macedonian street, Shirok Sokak. After that we will continue to Prilep and visit the monastery of St. Archangel Michael, where we will see the frescos of King Marko and King Volkasin, the last Christian medieval kings in Macedonia from the 14th century. Also we will walk the centre of Prilep with the old leaning clock tower from the Ottoman period. Than we drive to the town of Demir Kapija and visit the winery Popova Kula and taste 5 different Macedonian varieties of wine with a meal. Driving back to Ohrid.
