Tirana and Kruja tour

Program

The driver/guide will pick you up from the hotel or any location of your preference in Ohrid. We drive to the Macedonian-Albanian border. We cross the border at Kjafasan (near Struga) and drive to the capital of Albania, Tirana (approximately 2 and a half hours). Halfway there, we stop for a coffee break. In Tirana, we will visit the National Museum, the Mausoleum of the dictator Enver Hoxha and the Ethem Bey Mosque, as well as the bunker of Enver Hoxha. We walk in the city park and then we have 1-hour free time in the city. We leave Tirana and we drive for the small town of Kruja. Kruja is nestled on the hill Kruja and there we will visit the Skanderbeg Museum and the Kruja castle and have a chance to buy souvenirs from the local shops. Skenderbeg and Albanians defended the town from many sieges from the Ottomans. They conquered it after 25 years of wars with the Albanians. At the end of this tour, we will drive back to Ohrid, and drop you off in any location of your preference in Ohrid.
