Make circle around Ohrid Lake, and visit amazing places on Macedonian and Albanian side of the Lake
The driver/guide will pick you up from the hotel or any other location of your preference in Ohrid. We will start our tour with a visit to the Museum on water “Bay of Bones”, a prehistoric settlement on water, a truly marvelous place to see. Our next stop is the coastal village of Trpejca, locally known as the Macedonian St. Tropez. After a short break in this beautiful hidden gem, we will continue our way to St. Naum. Here we will probably visit the monastery and the beautiful springs, before continuing to the Albanian border. On the other side of the lake, we will visit the village called Tushemishte. Here we will visit and walk around the second-largest springs on the lake, before continuing for the town of Pogradec. Here we can take a short break for coffee or lunch, before seeing the town center, or walk through the open market. The next stop on our journey is the village of Lin, situated on a small peninsula in the lake. We will wander around the streets of this small settlement, feeling the rural spirit of Albania. After Lin, we will return to Macedonian territory, passing the Kjafasan border pass. The last stop on this round trip is the town of Struga. Around these lands, there is an expression “there is no place like Struga” (it rhymes in Macedonian). You will enjoy this beautiful destination, making a break for drinks in the beautiful lake-shore cafes. Another option is a visit to the Poetry Bridge, where every year, a world-known festival of poetry is held. We can visit the Miladinovci House, the place where the Miladinovci brothers, well-known folk songs and poems collectors, were born. Other than the previously mentioned options, we can admire the view of the place where the Ohrid Lake flows out into the river Black Drim. Finally, we will drive back to Ohrid and drop you off at the hotel, or any other preferred location in Ohrid.
